Scope
Development of general concepts covering the full range of activities pertaining to a shipping agency in international cargo transport. Upon participants’ request, specific topics will be explored in greater depth.
Objectives
To identify the various activities carried out by the departments within a shipping agency, with a strictly operational perspective on international waterborne transport. To interpret documentation related to the entire commercial operation of a vessel. To recognize different types of vessels and the particular characteristics of the environments in which they operate (waterways, ports). To understand the relationships with national authorities involved in maritime activities.
Target Audience
Employees of shipping agencies, port terminals, customs brokers, exporters, importers, and anyone involved in international waterborne transport operations.
Methodology
Remote instruction delivered through virtual platforms, with active student participation.
